Garfield Town Board Meeting
April 18, 2017

Meeting called to orderby Chairman, Ed Gullickson, at 8:04 pm.
Public Comments: None.
Road Maintenance: Town is looking at blacktopping two to two and half miles every other year. North Bear Lake will be chipped sealed.
Vacating Right of Way on Wapogasset: Robert and Lisa Turek-Shay commented on the roadway on/through their property. Turek-Shays stated that the County sent them a letter to remove their garage that they built in 2016 because there is a platted town road that goes through the garage. Permit was issued by the Town to re-build the garage that was damaged due to winter weather. Original garage has been there prior 1970. Gullickson stated that they would have to obtain an attorney to request that the Town abandon the road.
Board of Review Date: June 1, 2017, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm is the Open Book and the Board of Review is from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on the same day.
Emergency Siren at Park/Park Work to be Completed: Siren is up and going and is tested each month. Committee is considering a bridge to go across the swamp between the two parking areas. Striping of the parking areas is under consideration for having it done or buying a machine to do ourselves.
Clerk’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Vouchers: Submitted, signed and approved. Motion made by Stroebel/Mork to approve submitted vouchers. Carried-unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Monthly Board Minutes: Motion made by Stroebel/Mork to approve the April 18, 2017, Board minutes as submitted. Carried-unanimously.
Adjourn: Motion made by Mork/Stroebel to adjourn meeting, 8:30 pm. Carried-unanimously.
