Garfield Town Board Meeting
July 12, 2023

Meeting called to order by Chairman, Ed Gullickson, at 7:00 pm.
Public Comments: Douglas Drake, clean waters program, gave an update on zebra mussels and a cleaning machine. Motion made and seconded in favor of the Lake Association’s effort to obtain grants for a cleaning machine to help reduce the zebra mussels in the lake. Carried-unanimously.
Road Construction Update: Brush mowing is complete. The Sunrise Beach Boat Landing project has begun.
Possible Road Funding: Discussion regarding the components of the LRIP program.
Planning Committee Update: Nelson gave an update on the proposed permit fees. Permit forms will have the fee on the form itself. New permit forms will be constructed.
Issue Concerning 112th Avenue Mobile Home: Attorney is drafting a letter.
Dog Issue – Gale Osborne Residence: Discussion regarding dog issues and that a conditional use permit is needed. Dog barking needs to be controlled so that there are no complaints.
Governor’s Budget Signing – What it Means for the Town: The Governor signed the budget and the Town’s future shared revenue will be increasing from approximately $17,000 to approximately $80,000.

Clerk’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Vouchers: Submitted, signed and approved. Motion made and seconded to approve submitted vouchers. Carried-unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Monthly Board Minutes: Motion made and seconded to approve the July 12, 2023, Board minutes as submitted. Carried-unanimously.
Adjourn: Motion made and seconded to adjourn meeting, 8:15 pm. Carried-unanimously.
