Garfield Town Board Meeting
August 8, 2023

Meeting called to order by Chairman, Ed Gullickson, at 7:00 pm.
Public Comments: Larry Kjeseth asked if 138th could have some blacktop patching done. Loren Johnson asked about Sunrise Beach Boat Landing.
Road Construction Update: Mark Knutson stated that the boat ramp for Sunrise Beach is scheduled to be pushed in on the 16th. The landing platform is formed and will be poured soon.
Board has stated that the drainage issues on Lone Pine Lane is a bigger issue than expected. Board will involve B32 Engineering. Board will invite Brian Stugelmayer to the next Board meeting along with Scott from B32 Engineering.
Planning Committee Update: Patrick & Kathryn Forsythe requested a variance from the Planning Committee. Planning Committee approved the variance and presented it to the Town Board. Board reviewed information that was presented. Motion made and seconded to approve the variance that was submitted. Carried-unanimously.
Issue Concerning 112th Avenue Mobile Home: No new information at this time.
Other Business That May Come Before the Board: Board member attended the Towns Association Meeting and stated that there are a few TRIP grants available and that the Town will be applying for them.
Clerk’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Vouchers: Submitted, signed and approved. Motion made and seconded to approve submitted vouchers. Carried-unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Monthly Board Minutes: Motion made and seconded to approve the August 8, 2023, Board minutes as submitted. Carried-unanimously.
Adjourn: Motion made and seconded to adjourn meeting, 7:40 pm. Carried-unanimously.
