Garfield Town Board Meeting
April 16, 2013

Meeting called to orderby Chairman, Ed Gullickson, at 8:42 pm.
Public Comments: None.
Road Construction: Parking lot will be done at park this spring after the snow melts and dries up. Lone Pine Lane ditches will be reconstructed.
Maintenance Needed on Ford 550 Truck: Mark Knutson explained what is going wrong on the Ford 550 truck. Windshield needs to be replaced. The exhaust manifold bolts needs to be replaced and in doing so the motor needs to be pulled along with some additional work. These repairs could cost up to $10,000. Gullickson stated that he would like Knutson to get prices for next meeting. Knutson stated that if the Town decides to get a new truck that a one ton dully truck would work.
Housing of Town Equipment: Discussion postponed.
Building Permit Requiring Impact Fee: The Impact Ordinance needs to be updated to follow the state guidelines. Gullickson stated he will have Stevens Engineers look into it.
Planned Updates for Garfield Park: Dave and Vi Nelson and the Amery Lions Club have contributed to the park for additional playground equipment. Norman and Marilyn Osero contributed to the steps that are going down to the river side shelter. The possibility of putting up flag poles was discussed. Additional parking lot will be done.
Required Record Documentation for Building Permits: Gullickson suggested that the clerk check with the building inspector on documentation that the Town can/could retain for inquiries on inspections and occupancy.
Clerk’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Vouchers: Submitted, signed and approved. Motion made by Mork/Gullickson to approve submitted vouchers. Carried-unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Board Minutes: Motion made by Mork/Gullickson to approve the April 16, 2013, Board minutes as submitted. Carried-unanimously.
Adjourn: Motion made by Mork/Gullickson to adjourn meeting, 9:40 pm. Carried-unanimously.
