Garfield Town Board Meeting
October 8, 2013

Meeting called to orderby Chairman, Ed Gullickson, at 7:00 pm.
Public Comments: None.
Road Maintenance: Ditch clearing/brushing is being done. Ford F550 was fixed.
Approval of Liquor License of New Owner of Home Base Bar: Miki Jo Johnson and Carolyn Weaver’s background checks came back clean. Paperwork is done and in order for them to resume the business from Home Base to Miki Jo’s.
Motion made by Stroebel/Gullickson to approve the liquor license for Miki Jo’s. Carried-unanimously.
Approval of Revised Liquor License for UW Wanderoos: Gullickson stated that he talked to the Town’s attorney, Adam Jarco. A revised application needs to be done to include the smoking room. The event center needs a building permit to bring it up to code for public use. Lyons needs to apply for a variance for the event center being too close to the property line. A conditional use needs to be done and brought before the Planning Committee on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at 7:00pm, and then it needs to be advertised.
Motion made by Gullickson/Stroebel to approve the revised liquor license for UW Wanderoos to include the new smoking room. Carried-unanimously.
Discussion of 2014 Budget: Board is waiting for the levy worksheet and then will submit and advertise for the budget hearing in November.
Clerk’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Vouchers: Submitted, signed and approved. Motion made by Stroebel/ Gullickson to approve submitted vouchers. Carried-unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Board Minutes: Motion made by Stroebel/Gullickson to approve the October 8, 2013, Board minutes as submitted. Carried-unanimously.
Adjourn: Motion made by Gullickson/Stroebel to adjourn meeting, 8:00 pm. Carried-unanimously.
