Meeting Minutes
March 8, 2012
Meeting called to order at 7:00pm
In attendance: Orval Johnson, Chairman; Darrell Emerson, Member ; Mark Kopp, Member; George Stroebel,
Member, Natalie Trudeau, Member
Absent: Marilyn Buckingham, Member; Barry Eklund, Member
Also in attendance: Robert and Judy Traynor, residents; Cliff Manwiller, Zoning Administrator
Review land use application from Mr. & Mrs. Traynor to build a storage building on his property on the south west portion of Lake Wapogasset: Home located on property across easement; lot in question with building site is roughly half an acre; proposed building size is 1,800 sq. ft. According to zoning ordinance, building size limit on lot that size is 1,500 sq. ft.; lot size including home lot is in excess of 1 acre. Upon discussion, owners have decided to change the building size to 1,500 sq. ft. to meet requirements. Motion to approve application as amended (Emerson/Kopp). Motion unanimously approved.
Discuss procedure to follow for building permits:
1. Obtain Driveway Permit from Town Clerk; reviewed by Town Chairman or designee.
2. Land Use application available from Building Inspector or Town Clerk; completed forms are turned in to Town Clerk. Shoreland Land Use Permit reviewed by Polk County; then reviewed by Building Inspector.
3. Obtain Sanitary Permit from Polk County.
4. Building Permit application available from Building Inspector or Town Clerk; completed forms are turned in to Town Clerk. Reviewed by Building Inspector.
5. Building Permit application forwarded to Town Board, if no issues. Building Permit applicationforwarded to Plan Commission for review, if non-conformances are found.Motion to recommend to Town Board to waive land use permit fee if a county land use permit underShoreland zoning is required (Kopp/Emerson). Motion carried unanimously.
