Meeting Minutes
December 13, 2012
Meeting called to order at 7:07pm.
In attendance: Orval Johnson, Chairman; Barry Eklund, Member; Darrell Emerson, Member; Mark Kopp,
Member ; George Stroebel, Member; Natalie Trudeau, Member; Corey Ulrich, Member; Nolan Wall, Planner with Stevens Engineering
Also present: Judy Park, Dan & Angie Hoverman
Ms. Judy Park has property listed at 623 140th St. and wishes to get our input as to what she can do with the property. Property is within Shoreland District. Part of the property is in Floodplain. Plan Commission recommendation is to contact Polk County regarding Floodplain classification.
Consider comments from the public regarding the public hearings: No public comment
1- Consider amendments to the Dog Nuisance Ordinance (Ordinance 2-2011) regarding the Humane Officer.
a. Motion to forward to Town Board for approval with proposed amendments (Eklund/Kopp)
carried unanimously.
2- Consider amendments to the Citation Ordinance (Ordinance 2-2008) regarding the Humane Officer.
a. Motion to remove the Schedule of Deposits and approve the amounts recommended in
discussion and forward to Town Board for approval (Emerson/Eklund) carried unanimously.
3- Consider amendments to the Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance 3-2010) regarding the Board of Appeals membership.
a. Motion to forward to Town Board for approval with proposed amendments plus 5-year
staggered term amendment (Ulrich/Emerson) carried unanimously.
Nolan will forward these recommendations to the Town Board for review. Zoning Ordinance will require approval from Polk County as well.
Next Plan Commission Meeting: No meeting scheduled.
