During the meeting with Mark Knutson, it was decided to raise the Maintenance by another $500
for the additional equipment that is needed for maintenance of the park.
DM made the motion that the proposed budget be submitted to the Town Board. SC seconded –
motion passed.
General Discussion about Park:
Angle parking near the restrooms has been corrected giving another stall. The
playground parking needs to be reconfigured.
Discussion of needs for the park in the future and near future:
A blower for cleanup
Pressure washer for cleaning the pavilion areas and restrooms
Weed & Feed be applied this fall or next spring – it was decided to wait until next
spring.
Spray paint the maintenance fence – DM suggested that Eldred Anderson would
be a good candidate for that job
Additional security cameras – even if they are dummies. Mark Knutson stated that
there hasn’t been anything “bad” that has occurred yet at the park (according to
the cameras)
Cement slabs for the picnic tables so that they are level
Lights on the restroom are causing the insects to collect in the restrooms. It was
proposed that the lights be put on a timer and also the locks so that someone
doesn’t have to physically go to the park to lock up and turn off the lights.
Perhaps a yellow lens for the light fixtures would eliminate some of the problem.
Something to pick up leaves – perhaps an attachment to the mower would solve
this.
Discussion about closing the park for winter:
Protection for the camera – a closed cabinet with a ceramic heater is proposed.
Pull the fishing piers in and the area to store it – perhaps the handicapped parking
stall could be used to store this.
A “bladder” to install and uninstall the piers or truck inner tubes
Decides that the area by the launch NOT be sanded during the winter
Blow out the watering lines - borrow an air compressor?
Winterize the restroom sinks and toilets
Picnic tables to be stored in the pavilions
DM made the motion to adjourn. SC seconded. Motion passed.
Next meeting will be October 10th, 2007.
