Garfield Town Board Meeting
October 11, 2022

Meeting called to orderby Chairman, Ed Gullickson, at 7:00 pm.
Public Comments: Sean Laschinger, Walleye Court resident, stated that they would like to see a dead end sign put up and inquired about fire number signs. The fire number signs are the small old numbers that are faded and are not legible.
Road Construction Update: The four roads are prepped for blacktop and have been graded and watered down to keep the dust down. Culverts were replaced on 90th Avenue, 155th Street. Ditch mowing is still in progress. Potholes will be patched shortly.
Approve Road Construction Loan: Discussion regarding the process and what the final number is for the cost of the loan.
Planning Committee Update: Dave Nelson gave the Board an update on the ordinances that they are working on including the parking and junk ordinances.
2023 Budget Review: Budget is being worked on and should be available in November.
Sunrise Beach Boat Landing Grant Application: The grant application is ready to be submitted. Adjacent land owner is in approval of the changes. The approximate cost is about $150,000 with a 50/50 split with the Town doing majority of the physical work.
TRIP Grant Application: Application is being worked on for submittal.
Other Business That May Come Before the Board: Board stated that a trailer that was in the Town of Lincoln and moved into Garfield on a 15 acre lot at the end of 112th Avenue without a permit or notifying the Town. There is no septic for the trailer. Board will give the homeowner a list of things that need to be done prior to occupancy.
Clerk’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Vouchers: Submitted, signed and approved. Motion made and seconded to approve submitted vouchers. Carried-unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Monthly Board Minutes: Motion made and seconded to approve the October 11, 2022, Board minutes as submitted. Carried-unanimously.
Adjourn: Motion made and seconded to adjourn meeting, 7:45 pm. Carried-unanimously.
