Garfield Town Board Meeting
December 14, 2021

Meeting called to orderby Chairman, Ed Gullickson, at 7:00 pm.
Public Comments: CJ Simones introduced himself, told the Board about himself, and he stated that he is going to run for the County Supervisor seat that is available. Simones would like to preserve this area.
Road Construction Update: 120th Avenue near the Garfield Recreation Area clearing trees out of the ditch. Pepper Street has never been on the Certified Survey Map and Mark Knutson found documentation to get that added to the WISLR report. Walleye Court has a cul-de-sac at the end and the home owner at the end stated that people use their driveway to turnaround in and asked if there is anything the Town can do. Knutson inquired to the Board about enlarging the cul-de-sac or putting a hammerhead in. Gullickson stated that the Town needs to find out who all owns land that would be affected by the suggestion. Gullickson stated that he would talk to owners and get back to the Board next month.
Review of Truck Purchase: Board was given the truck specifications. Mark Knutson explained the specifications to the Board. Knutson also stated that the price may change because of the time frame of getting on the schedule and the truck actually getting made. Stroebel asked if order could be cancelled if the price increases more than what the Board wants to pay. Knutson will confirm that suggestion. Knutson stated that Mack truck wants a down payment to confirm the purchase order. Motion made by Gullickson/Mork to approve the order of the new Mack truck. Carried-unanimously.
Review of Election Officials: Clerk submitted list of election workers. Motion made by Stroebel/Mork to approve the election worker list that was submitted. Carried-unanimously.
Christmas Gift for Road Maintenance Employee’s:Maintenance personnel are going to receive a Christmas gift of $100.
Planning Committee Update: Dave Nelson stated that the Noise Ordinance and the Citation Ordinance were submitted to the Town’s attorney for finalization. PUD Ordinance is being worked on.

Clerk’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Vouchers: Submitted, signed and approved. Motion made by Stroebel/Mork to approve submitted vouchers. Carried-unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Monthly Board Minutes: Motion made by Stroebel/Mork to approve the December 14, 2021, Board minutes as submitted. Carried-unanimously.
Adjourn: Motion made by Mork/Stroebel to adjourn meeting, 8:05 pm. Carried-unanimously.
