Garfield Town Board Meeting

Meeting called to orderby Chairman, Ed Gullickson, at 7:00 pm.
Public Comments: None.
Road Maintenance: Monarch has just started making blacktop. Potholes/boils are being patched. Winter has been hard on the roads with freeze and thaw and refreezing.
Dog Issue on 94th Avenue: A dog on 94th ran off its property and bit a nearby resident. The dog is not licensed or current on rabies vaccination. Gullickson has received numerous calls regarding this dog and concerns for themselves and their kids on that road. Dog owner has been putting a muzzle on the dog when it is outside and has installed an invisible fence.
Highway Adopting of 155th Street: Natalie Peterson has inquired about adopting a section of 155th. She has submitted an application. Signs need to be ordered with the saying “Love to the Max”. Motion made by Stroebel/Mork to approve the adoption of 155th from County Road C north to Kennedy Mill Road. Carried-unanimously.
Liquor Licenses and Operator Licenses: Packets for the liquor licenses premises are prepared and will be distributed for approval at the June meeting.
Park Work Volunteer Day May 18 at 8:00 am: Gullickson gave a list of items needed for cleaning to the maintenance department. Trees need to be trimmed.

Clerk’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Vouchers: Submitted, signed and approved. Motion made by Stroebel/Gullickson to approve submitted vouchers. Carried-unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Monthly Board Minutes: Motion made by Stroebel/Mork to approve the May 14, 2019 Board minutes as submitted. Carried-unanimously.
Adjourn: Motion made by Mork/Stroebel to adjourn meeting, 7:35 pm. Carried-unanimously.
