Annual Meeting called to order by Chairman, Ed Gullickson, at 7:00 pm.

Minutes of last annual meeting:  Minutes from last year’s annual meeting were read.  Motion made by Dave Nelson/Lee Olson to approve annual town minutes as submitted.  Carried-unanimously.

Concerns:  None.

Annual Statement: 2017 Annual Statement was explained by Gullickson. Motion made by Lee Olson/Dave Nelson to approve the 2017 Annual Statement as submitted.  Carried-unanimously.

Annual Meeting:  A suggestion was made to have the Annual Meeting on the same day as the monthly Board Meeting, second Tuesday in April, from now on.  Motion made by Dave Nelson/Don Mork to have Annual Meeting and Board Meeting on the second Tuesday in April from now on.  Carried-unanimously.

Maintenance Building:  Maintenance building is almost complete, just minor changes due to the State Inspector’s requests.  LP heating costs are low for the size of the building.

DOG Fire Association:  Mark Knutson, Fire Chief, submitted information on the total runs for the past year.  The Department had approximately 256 runs.

The Department will be building a third station in Alden in January 2019 and breaking ground approximately in June 2018.  The Department currently has two stations, one in Dresser and one in Garfield.  The Department will be taking over territory from New Richmond and Amery Fire Departments now that Alden is a part of the Association.  The Department is in the process of going from a fire association to a fire district.  Gullickson stated the benefits and conditions of being a fire district.

The Department is also having their annual Mother’s Day pancake breakfast, free-will offering, at the Garfield station.  The annual spaghetti dinner on April 14, 2018, did well, considering the snow storm, serving approximately 600 people on a free-will offering.

Gopher Bounty:  Motion made by Don Mork/Lee Boettcher to keep the gopher bounty at $3.00 per tail, no bounty on stripe gopher tails.  Carried-unanimously.

Road Work:  The Town decided to blacktop approximately three miles of roads every other year to get a better deal on blacktopping instead of a mile and a half every year at a higher price.

Adjourn:  Motion made by Dave Nelson/Orval Johnson to adjourn annual meeting, 7:40 pm.  Carried-unanimously.
