Garfield Town Board Meeting
January 18, 2010

Meeting called to order by Chairman, Ed Gullickson, at 7:00 pm.
Minutes of last meeting: Motion made by Gullickson/Mork to approve Board minutes as
submitted. Carried-unanimously.
Public Comments: Richard & Barbara Rudolph had concerns regarding their taxes and the
evaluation that was done on their property. Chairman explained how and why Bowmar did a
re-evaluation.
Road Projects & Construction Update:
Town Hall Updates: Discussion on having Mark Knutson help with the updates on the town
hall, new windows, voting booths, bringing building up to Energy Efficiency standards. Bids
and pricing will be presented at the February meeting.
Approval of Quit Claim Deed for Kenneth D. & Judith A. Ohm Trust (Action): Kenneth D.
and Judith A. Ohm Trust Quit Claim Deed is to correct a description on Lot 4 CSM 1065
Document 429635.
Motion made by Gullickson/Stroebel to approve said correction on Quit Claim Deed for the
Ohm Trust.
Road Equipment Need for 2010 (Possible Action): Mark Knutson will get pricing on a
different mower for the road right of way and a skidsteer.
Proposal to Test Residential Wells (Discussion): Discussion on test wells for the residents.
Scott Ward will check on pricing through County.
Changing Regular Town Board Meetings to 2nd Monday or Tuesday: Discussion.
Motion made by Gullickson/Stroebel to move monthly Town Board Meetings from the third
Monday to the second Tuesday of each month starting in March. Carried-unanimously.
Residents Living on 130th Street Concerning the Town’s Non-Ownership: Motion made
by Gullickson/Mork to have the attorney draw up a letter to the residents on 130th Street.
Carried-unanimously.
Hearing Date for Road, Driveway, Erosion Control and Storm Water Management
Ordinance (Action): Gullickson suggested on having ordinance heard at the February
meeting. Notification of Hearing before Town Board Meeting will be advertised the week of
February 8 and to run for one week which will list both ordinance “ordinance for the Property
Maintenance 1-2010 and the ordinance for Road, Driveway, Erosion Control and Storm Water
Management 2-2010 starting at 7:00 and Board meeting will start immediately afterwards.
Motion made by Gullickson/Mork to approve said advertising. Carried-unanimously.

Wanderoos Lions Club Picnic License (Action): Motion made by Stroebel/Gullickson to
approve said picnic license for the Lions Club.
Raising Fees for Bartenders’ Licenses to Cover Costs (Action): Motion made by
Mork/Stroebel to raise the bartender’s license fee from $5 to $10. Carried-unanimously.
Statement of Accounts: Profit & Loss statement was submitted. Motion made by
Gullickson/Mork to approve Profit & Loss statement. Carried-unanimously.
Approval of Vouchers: Submitted, signed and approved. Motion made by
Gullickson/Stroebel to approve submitted vouchers. Carried-unanimously.
Treasurer’s report: Submitted. Motion made by Stroebel/Mork to approve treasurer’s report.
Carried-unanimously.
Adjourn: Motion made by Mork/Stroebel to adjourn meeting, 8:43 pm. Carried-unanimously.
