Garfield Town Board Meeting
April 12, 2011

Meeting called to order by Chairman, Ed Gullickson, at 7:10 pm.
Minutes of last meeting: Motion made by Mork/Stroebel to approve Board minutes as
submitted. Carried-unanimously.
Public Comments: None.
Review of Restroom Addition/Outside Work: Gullickson will go to bank to secure loan
papers for the addition on the Town hall for $50,000 at a rate of 4% or less.
Motion made by Gullickson/Mork to approve a loan with Bremer Bank in the amount of
$50,000 on a 10 year note. Carried-unanimously.
The Town hall is complete except for landscaping. Mark Knutson will do the landscaping at
the hall which will include the drainage.
Road Maintenance/Summer Road Work: Scott Ward and Mark Knutson looked at 138th,
140th, and Kennedy Mill Road.
Mark Knutson will take care of potholes shortly.
Tractor/Mowing Equipment is Here-Lease Options: Tractor and mower are in. The tractor
trade in difference was $18,960. Mower is $31,101.35. Both will be leased with a loan from
Bremer Bank. This new tractor/mower will allow the Town to have better grass and weed
control in the ditches and require less labor and less fuel to accomplish a much superior job in
less time.
Motion made by Gullickson/Mork to secure financing at Bremer Bank for the tractor/mower.
Carried-unanimously.
Clerk’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Approval of Vouchers: Submitted, signed and approved. Motion made by Mork/Stroebel to
approve submitted vouchers. Carried-unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report: Submitted and reviewed.
Adjourn: Motion made by Gullickson/Mork to adjourn meeting, 7:55 pm. Carriedunanimously.
