Meeting Minutes
December 8, 2011
Meeting called to order at 7:00pm.
In attendance: Orval Johnson, Chairman; Darrell Emerson , Member; Mark Kopp, Member; George Stroebel,
Member; Natalie Trudeau, Member
Absent: Marilyn Buckingham, Member; Barry Eklund, Member
Also in attendance: Nolan Wall, Planner w/Stevens Engineering; Wayne Swenson of Polk County Land Surveying Co. for Lee Rasmussen
Public Comments: None
Review Application to divide property for Lee Rasmussen (Location SW1/4 NW ¼ of Section 8 on the South
edge of Bear Lake): Note was made to reserve a driveway easement on the west side of the property to access remaining land. Motion to approve to send application to Town Board for final review (Emerson/Kopp).
Set fee for violation of the Junk Vehicle Ordinance: Motion to set citation fee of $50 per violation + court costs (Kopp/Stroebel).
Review of the Amended Citation Ordinance: Motion to approve the Citation Ordinance as amended (Emerson/Stroebel).
New business:
Discussion on Frac Sand/non-metallic mining operations in Wisconsin and how our current land use ordinance deals with the issue.
The suspension on the State’s Wind Licensing Ordinance may be lifted in March and may impact our ordinance as written.
Dec 20th the Polk County Board will be reviewing the proposed amendments to the Town’s Zoning Ordinance regarding Accessory Buildings. The amendments have passed the Land Use Committee.
