Town of Garfield Planning Commission Secretary’s Minutes Meeting
of 6/12/08
Meeting called to order at 7:15 p.m.
In attendance: Orval Johnson, Chair;; Marilyn Buckingham, Member; Mark Knutson,
Member; Sylvan Erickson, Secretary; Angela Popenhagen, Engineer for Stevens
Engineering.
Absent: Gordon Lindahl, Member; Scott Ward, Town of Garfield Engineer. Angela
attended in his place.
The minutes of 5/8/08 were approved as read. [Mark/Orval]
Jeannine Andren and Ervin Moe presented a Proposed Certified Survey Map for concept
review. They also provided the Application for Minor Subdivision, aerial photograph,
and $50.00 to pay the Concept Review Fee. Mark had driveway questions and
suggestions. The committee had no major concerns.
We reviewed the updated Vision Statement and Implementation Element and
Implementation Matrix and found them acceptable.
Whereas the Draft Town of Garfield Comprehensive Plan was found acceptable, subject
to adding the use of sub-committees to complete Proposed Actions on the
Implementation Matrix, the Town of Garfield Planning Commission recommends
acceptance and distribution by the Town of Garfield Board. [Marilyn/Mark]
We discussed needs and methods of communicating with the Town Board.
