Minutes of Park Committee Meeting June 11, 2008

David Nelson called the meeting to order at 7:04 PM.
Minutes - Minutes of the April 16, 2008 - MLS made the motion that the minutes be approved.
DM seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Election of Officers:
SC made the motion that all positions remain with the same individuals. MLS seconded the
motion. Motion passed.

General Discussion about Park:
Items needed for this summer at the park:
Mark Knutson asked the board to request that cement pads be placed under the tables that
are on the grass. It takes 5 hours of tractor mowing and 4 hours of hand mowing to do
the correct job of mowing. He would like to put bricks around the restroom, light poles,
etc. so the tractor tire would ride on them and make mowing easier.
The one oak tree is dead and will need to be replaced. The maple that was thought dead
has developed leaves now.
There was discussion that the parking lines for truck and trailers be repainted at more of a
slant to make it easier to back out with a long rig. If laid out right there could be a 3’
gain in length and two more stalls by the restrooms.
DN will ask the Town board about lighting the park with flares the night of the 5th of July
when the Lake association has their annual 4th celebration. That would be about 9:45 PM
More cameras were discussed – this is something that will be considered.
Still need the signs for invasive plants at the boat landings.
DM made a motion that we recommend to the town board to purchase these items from the park
budget. SC seconded the motion. Motion passed.
MLS made the motion to adjourn. SC seconded. Motion passed.
